Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara

Hey Everyone!
Hope you all are well :)

Today I have a mascara review for you all…
actually I have just realized I haven't reviewed a mascara before!
That is probably due to the fact that I don't try out mascaras often, I have been using my Mally Beauty Volumizing Mascara for as long as I can remember. It is my holy grail mascara, I would be lost without it!
I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed that yet..i'll get on it :)

Recently I ran out of my Mally mascara and I just decided I would try out a cheaper alternative to see how I got on.
I took full advantage of the Cosmetics Outlets offer on free shipping for the month of January and I picked up a couple of items.
The Rimmel ScandalEyes Mascara set me back a mere €5.00 so I was more than happy to give this one a go! Either way if the product wasn't for me I hadn't broken the bank.

The mascara wand is hour glass shaped, something I was a bit iffy about using.
Due to its size I figured I would make a bit of a mess when coating my lashes, it happens to me all the time sometimes even with the smaller wands.
I simply have yet to master the art of applying mascara neatly haha!
The wand does apply mascara well, coating every lash but I find it does an average job at separating the lashes.
Aaaaand I was right, I managed to coat my eyelid along with my lashes..oops.
I'm not really a fan of larger mascara wands so I decided to improvise :)
I love the formulation of this mascara so I decided to try it out using a different mascara wand. I picked up one of my 'Úr Makeup Reusable Mascara Wands' (review coming soon) and put it to work. To say I was delighted with the results was an understatement.
I simply used a smaller mascara wand which allowed me to separate the lashes  more effectively than with the wand that comes with the mascara.

This mascara does everything one would expect a mascara to do!
It adds volume, length and separates the lashes giving the illusion of fuller lashes :) If you are looking for a decent mascara on a budget definitely try out this one, I think I spotted it in my local pharmacy for €7.99 or €8.99.
Like I said I picked mine up from The Cosmetics Outlet for only a fiver….bargain!

What are your favourite budget friendly mascaras? I'm interested now to try out some more! :)
Eimear x
